View Full Version : Joint Pain

My wrists, ankles and knees hurt.

It happens in two ways - I get pangs of pain and random aches that don't seem to have any direct cause; and if I do something like hold my joint at an odd angle for around 5 minutes or so it begins to ache.

In my wrists and ankles it spreads into my hands and feet, giving random pains, pins-and-needles-ish feelings, tingling or numbness. it seems to occasionally spread up to some muscles a little in my forearms and lower legs.

My wrists are the worst, I believe that is because I use a keyboard.

It began around 2 - 2 and a half years ago, and has become worse over the last few days. I have not done anything to agravate it.

Any ideas of what it may be, and do you think it is worth seeing a doctor?

Additional info I am 14 years old, it isn't long until my 15th birthday, I do an average amount of physical excercise (walking).

Thank you.

Hello:wave: I was reading about your questions and I think you really should go and see a Doctor. If its nothing then it won't hurt anything to try. If it is then you will be so glad you went, right? It sounds like carpel tunnel or arthritis of some sort but because test need to be done for that it is better for you to ask a proffesional. I hope this helps you a little bit. Don't be scared ok? Hi i was reading your problem, and it started to remind me of me,i'm a diabetic,But as soon as i read the story and seen your age ,i stopped thinking of diabetes and remembered what my son went threw when he was your age he had the same or every close to your symp.I had him in to see a few doc's and every one told me the same thing. Growing pains. I know it sound's crazy and i thuoght the same thing. but he is now 19 and has'nt had any pain like that for a few years,so maybe.... but you really should see your doc, it's prolly something simpel like that, don't worry untill you see him that'll just make it worse. best of luck.
