Hi there,

Anyone know of anything to help reduce facial water retention?

Before anyone says "find out what's causing it," I've already seen my GP and had tests done - it seems to be menstral water retention ;) .

Thanks for reading :) .

Look up "the water cure". Its a sea salt (grey is the purest sea salt) regime that eliminates water from the body. It was recommened to me by my natural care pactitioner and works wonders for TOM bloatness. Sea Salt has a different use in the body then regular salt so you really need to understand the directions before doing it. I have been doing it (on & off) for about 3 years now and it does work.

I read that dandelion root or a tea made from dandelion leaves or root works very well as a diuretic, as well as being very good for liver and kidney function. I'm thinking about trying it.

Have you had your thyroid checked? It is very common for that to cause facial swelling. You might want to go over to the "thyroid disorders" board and search.
