It started this evening, she was saying her bottom was hurting. I took a look when we got home and there it was....A very little white worm  She is my 2nd child and my 8 yr old son has not had them. So my question is what can I do to help her. Is there something over the counter or do I need to call the Dr? Thank You for your help :)

Pinworms are a common childhood issue, mostly in summer months. Call your childs doctor and they will prescribe an anti worm medication usually 2 pills, one taken as soon as you get it and the other two weeks later. Make sure your child practices washing hands as most eggs are transmitted in soil and trapped under nails where they enter through the mouth or nose and mature in the intestine. The cause itching and general discomfort but are not a serious healt risk. I think all parents go throught this at least once.
