Hey,

Well ive had 2 acupuncture treatments so far. When she puts the needles in I feel a p rick in my skin that kind of hurts just a tad. When she takes them out I feel a p rick too. I also still have marks in my skin in a couple places from getting the treatments yesterday.

Is this normal? I mean I dont care about hurting a little bit from the needles going in and out but I was just curious if its happened to anyone here..

no change so far from the treatments.. :(

it's perfectly normal, particularly when they go in - and some areas are more sensitive/more powerfully stimulated than others, and also depending on what is being treated I guess (for me the feet and wrists ache more than the legs, arms, ears, head and chest where I also have needles)

Is it normal to not see any results after 2 visits?

acupuncture is not a miracle cure and big results won't come after 2 sessions. You might notice more after a series of 6 or more treatments. Anothing thing is acupuncture is only a piece of the entire traditional chinese medicine treatment regimen. The others include massage, chi kung, and herbs. It's effectiveness is based more on the practitioner's experience, training, and sensetivity then the method itself. If acupuncture isn't working for you then you might want to take a look at other practitoners in your area. There are various websites and directories you can look in on the web that'll help you find a certified practitioner and their specialties.

I still need to ask her what she thinks is goin on with my body. Why I have so many disorders and chronic pain in diff parts of body daily and nerve system problems..she seems to want to get a hand on the anxiety first for some reason..but chronic sinus congestion and allergies and tmj is just as important..i hope she knows that..

What I know is that mental imbalances such as anxiety and depression often manifest themselves with symptoms such as chronic pain, tmj, heartburn, dizziness, ringing of the ears, rashes etc. I know because I've had all the above and it was all connected to the stress of anxiety and depression. Once the anxiety and depression tapered off everything else did as well. You can say the body balanced itself out. That may be the main reason she wants to work on your anxiety first. If you can de-stress your other symptoms ma go away on their own.

Well,

Today she gave me a powder for my sinuses. Free! It tastes and smells nasty but none the less. I found it interesting that she said my liver point is on my foot. She puts like 3 on both arms. 2 in hands and 1 on each elbow. About 4 on my stomach. 2 on each leg and 2 ob each foot i believe.

Acupuncture is a great source for medical treatment for body problems,
and yes it does hurt going in and coming out, mostly in the feet and stomach.
I find herbal capsules and eggs to be reasonable in price, but their tea's to be way over priced. I think the chinese doctors that use 75 or more needle at a time to be a better treatment then those that use 10 needle at a time.
The ideal you need massage, chi kung, and herbs with your treatments is not really true, also you can find benefits from one treatment, depending on what you need. Example: if you need to stop smoking, it can be done in one
treatment.

:) :blob_fire  :)
