I was wondering if anyone has tried taking a natural supplement call Feverfew to prevent migraines and does it actually work?
I saw it at the health food store today. I'm trying to find a preventative. Also if anyone else has any suggestions... (I get migraine w/ aura).

Thanks..

you can try it along with vitamin b2 100mg and magnesium 150mg and feverfew 50 mg twice daily with meals. You have to give it about 30 days or so to have full effect . No guarantees , but certainly worth a try.

I have been using Migrelief intermittently which has Feverfew in it. I have also tried Butterbur which I read about in some health magazines. I think they do help somewhat but since my Migraines are hormonal, they do not prevent my headaches totally. I need to take the supplements more regularly to figure out if they are worth sticking with.

I recently read about Feverfew as well and started taking it. Is there anything I shouldn't take it with? And the capsules I have are 100mg. Is that too much?

Not sure but I have something which contains 50mg feverfew and the directions are for it to be taken 2 times daily . I am guessing 100 mg once a day would be the same thing

I have heard that its best to tell your doctor before you use it just in case you take other meds, every one is different i have never used it, was thinking about trying it for my migraine with aura ....good luck ..

feverfew is not asprin - a quick ****** search will explain what it is.

i tried migralief a few years ago (when it was called migrahealth) and i saw notable relief of migraines.

i took it after i went off Topamax... I was about to try to concieve and needed to find a way to lessen my migraines so i didn't need to take Imitrex... so i could rid myself of the rebound migraines it was causing me.... so i could try to concieve without being on any meds :)

It worked well for me and reduced the amount and sevevrity of my migraines.

i then had to stop taking it because i was pregnant.... and just ordered it again now that my baby is here b/c my migraines have come back very bad in the past few weeks, 9 months post partum.

it's worth a try!
