View Full Version : getting hungry too fast?

So I changed my diet completly about 2 weeks ago due to my high cholestorol, 225/200.

Im eating less beef/pork/chicken, more fish and vegetables.

My morning consists of milk and cereal, which makes me really full before I head to work. I usually get hungry by 12 or 1, so I have lunch, which is rice, with tofu, steamed vegetables, fruit.

By the time lunch is finished, I get extremely hungry 5 o'clock pm. But I"m still at work, and I dont get home usually until 5:45 or 6.

Dinner conisists of rice, with fish or vegetables.

Is there anything I can eat during lunch that is healthy but also doesn't get me hungry so fast? It's not because of the portions because I get really full after I"m done, but I just get hungry so fast.

2nd question: another reason I'm eating healthy is because I want to flatten my belly, which protrudes out a bit. I dont smoke, I dont drink, and I am a pretty small frame person, 5'5, 130pounds.

Now, Im trying to jog everynight for 20 to 25 mintues.

With all this combined, how long will it take to notice a difference in my stomach? I could that my stomach is getting bigger these days, not sure if it is just me or what

Why did you cut back on chicken? It's low in fat and high in protein - skinless white meat of course. Between lunch and dinner is 4-5 hours so it's really no wonder you're hungry. Why not bring a little extra something to work with you. If you spread out your meals to every 2-3 hours you're less likely to feel overly hungry at dinner time.

I don't know how long it will take to see a difference in your stomach. Everyone's body responds differently to weight loss.

Could it be all the carbs you are eating that are making you hungry? It works somethig like this : eating carbs (rice, cereal, bread, fruit) makes your pancreas produce insulin, which lowers you blood sugar a couple of hours later, which makes you feel hungry again.

You break the cycle by replacing carbs with protein and fat. But avoid eating too much protein. You don't want your body to get too good at using protein for fuel because you will start losing muscle.

Cheers,

Mark ;)

your meals are likely to be gluten free. Gluten free digest very quickly.. just add extra protien in your lunches.. cheese, chicken... yogurts.. etc.. also have a snack in between your luches and, suppers, again with protien.

A healthy snack can be a protien bar, like the Perfect10 bars..

make a search for these bars, you wll be amazed.

luck
