IS there any differences in the symptons of RLS and Parkinsons or are they very much alike? My legs, especially the right one will shake as it is doing now while on the computer. My legs feel weak and slow and the right one somewhat rigid. Sometimes IM not sure if my right leg is on the gas pedal or not while driving. My right side back and hip hurts after standing or walking too long and my balance is sometimes off. A doctor told me to walk across his office room and said I have Parkinsons because I was shuffeling. I think I was shuffling because of my back pain. IN any event, I cant believe he made a determination it was Parkinsons just from me walking across his office room. An MRI showed some spinal lower lumber problems and some arthreitis. Ive been Taking Requip for about 8 months now but really hasnt helped ;my leg shaking seems to have gotton worse. My legs also seem to cramp up a a good bit. My legs see to shake more when I feel pressured about things. Do these symptons sound familiar to anyone with RLS or Parkinsons.

my symptoms get much worse with fatigue, or if my blood sugar gets low, was diagnosed about 8 mounths ago, with me my only symptom is hand and arm tremors,, not on any med, just a lot of suppliments, as far as the doctors go, it took 5 years for me to get a diagnosis, i decided i had parkinsons 4 years befor our fine medical system did, they just blow you off, and take your money, took 5 doctors to get a diagnosis, his diag was about like yours. any way good luck, RG.

MaroonKnight1 Hope this helps a little. The drs. are pretty sure that I have Parkinsons. My right leg (mostly the foot) shakes. When standing for very long, I get pain in my hips and side and back. More on the right than on the left. The pain comes on pretty quick if I lean forward for even short periods of time, like if I stand at the kitchen sink and try to wash dishes. I can't stand up straight because my balance is off, so I lean forward to keep from falling, It works, but with pain. I'm taking a generic for Sinemet and I think I see a little improvement in my leg shaking, & also my lip & chin trembling. I found it very interesting to know that someone else is having pains in these same areas of the body as I am. At least I feel it's not all in my head. I, too, feel it gets worse when I'm stressed out.

Thanks so much for getting back. I cant believe it! We share the exact same symptons in the exact same locations.Ive been doing some stretching exercises on a big rubber bawl for my sides and lower back daily for about 3 weeks now. Seems its helping alleviating the pain during the day somewhat but the darn leg still shakes
