Is it ok to substitute V8 for veggies/fruit? I realize it probably doesn't have the benefit of fiber but I do eat raw veggies when I have them, mostly as salads. Fruit......not so much.

Fruit......not so much. Sponsor sugar_babygirli 07-17-2006, 11:20 AM I think it would be alright if you are travelling and don't really have another choice. Of course nothing beats fresh, raw vegetables, so still try to incorporate them (especially dark, colorful such as spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, etc). Vegetable juices are a great way to get alot of nutrition in one punch (and doesn't make you stuffed like if you were to eat a pound of raw!)The ingredients in V8 seems really good to me, also, and if you get the low-sodium kind it's even better :) |
