I strongly believe I have an std infection, but I have been told I look normal. Pap test also came out normal, a nurse had said that they don't give hpv test if pap is normal. Found out that if under thirty years they don't give hpv test if pap is normal. I have some of the symptoms of an std. I believe they arent looking good enough.

I don't belive this fact is right, regardless of age or pap, hpv should be given. I found out after little search reading to be genital warts. Not sure what to do if you have health professionals that seem to not seem to have knowledge of hpv warts look like. Asking if there is anyone that know a doctor that knows what to look for. Thanks

Couple of things.
You haven't said what your symptoms are that make you think you have HPV. Why do you think you have HPV in particular? All you say is "I have some of the symptoms of an std". Which ones?

Also, if you have no visible warts, nor any abnormal cells on your cervix, it doesn't make sense to test you for HPV. Of course, if you are laying out the cash for the test, I guess you could insist, but it really isn't necessary without either of those 2 very key symptoms.
