I noticed i had lump right in the middle of the back side of my head. Its hard and painless( when i touch it. It doesnt move at all. It acutally feels as if though its part of my skull, as if it were a bone. I had my head x rayed ( a regular hospital x ray) at a hosiptal. The results were : multiple view of the skull show no acute fracture or bone destruction, The calvarium is intact, Impression: unremarkable exam.
Its kind of odd since i have never notice this thing before on my head. I still feel a little worried for some reason.
any suggestions?
thx

why didn't they do an MRI or CT scan? I don't think x-rays can determine lymphnodes on your skull.
I would get another opinion if it doesnt go down or if it gets bigger.
I had a cyst form on the lower back of my skull that was there for yrs.
it too was hard but was movable. it was benign but still scarey.
you do have lymph nodes on your head and through out your whole body.
sometimes these cysts form when the hair follicle becomes clogged.
If your worried, you should get another opinion. after all, doctors are not gods and they do make mistakes and mis diagnose sometimes.

I had three pilar (pylar?) cysts removed from my head a week ago by a dermotologist. They are very likely benigh as your's probably are. Did you GP send you to get xray? Can you tell us a bit more about what your doc said when he/she examined you?
