I may have been the only person who hadn't already experienced this, but just in case you haven't... It's been a few months since I had bunionectomies but wanted to post a tip about something I found that made my feet feel extra wonderful in my first and (every time after) follow-on, full-on, get-the-foot-wet bathing. My feet were tender from the operations, the wraps, and getting the stitches out. I had been using a very soft bristled, face-washing brush; I stopped using it on my face and started using it on my feet. It provided a gentle massaging action that felt wonderful. (Dampening the brush makes the bristles even softer on your skin.) As my feet healed more I switched to a regular foot brush that had slightly stiffer bristles.
While there are other sources, I found my face brush at Sephora and the foot brush at Kohls. Btw, I bought another face brush since I missed the gentle exfoliating action on my face it provided - I use it instead of a washcloth with a very mild soap.
If you try this I hope it makes your feet feel better, too. Of course, being able to get your post-op foot wet again is a major event that feels great just by itself! :D
