I just saw a news blurb yesterday on this. There's a new concern about combining migraine meds of the "triptan" type with SSRI or SNRI antidepressants. Result can be too much serotonin in one's system. I only managed to scribble down this little bit, but thought anyone possibly taking the combo might want to look into it further. (Vee)

Hi Veej, again...lol. I have migraines, suffering right now for a few days, and what I normally take to get rid of them is fioricet. I also take amitryptiline 100mg, and now ALSO Verapamil. I have had migraines for my whole life. I remember my first at 2-3 years old. My mother never being sympathetic to anything, I suffered until I was a teenager and could tell the doctor myself what was going on. They called it tension headaches back then, but I know for sure it was migraines because I would come home from school, go straight to my room, with no light, no sound. Even my own breathing would make my head pound. My mother would sometimes come in and flick the light on pretty much yelling, what are you doing in bed. God, I remember those times, and I could barely talk. I was diagnosed with ITP, Idiopathing Thrombocytopenia when I was around 10-11 years old. I remember my mother and father arguing about my bruises and how they were't going away, and she didn't "feel like" taking me to the doc's. Nice mom, anyway.......that was cured thankfully with prednisone. I'm going to have to look into this. I take so many medications it's not even funny. I need to post about Lupus headaches. I've seen people mentioning these. I don't know what they are. I have them all, regular headaches, tension headaches, migraines. Can't stand them. Thanks for the info though! ~ Kim
