I had pneumonia in January. Today I was at the doctor's for a sore throat and cough. She listened to my lungs and said she heard rales in the lower right lobe. That is where the pneumonia was last winter. She ordered all kinds of blood work to check for congestive heart failure and pneumonia again. I am worried. I also had pneumonia the previous January. She also suggested it might just be residue from the January illness. Has anyone ever heard of this?

It's not unusual to have recurrent respiratory infections like pnuemonia. Your body recovers slowly after each infection and leaves you prone to another bout. Make sure you are drinking at least 6 glasses of water daily and deep breathe and cough several times every hour. Also, make sure you eating well.
