Well I also have asthma and used to visit All Childrens Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida so I can give you an overview of what was done to me. The main thing they do is have you blow into a tube for as long as you can so that is very simple. In my case I also had allergy tests which included a normal blood test along with the needle pricks all over my back. I was 8 when this was done and it didn't hurt that much. It felt like a small little pinch but again nothing major. I also had a chest xray and an ultrasound and as you know both of these don't hurt at all.
So with that said I can't see them doing more than what I've said and they may not do the allergy testing or blood test and if that is the case nothing will hurt. I also got weekly breathing treatments and I still even today get breathing treatments each and every month at my now local hospital.

Thanks for your help...The doc at first wanted him to see an allergist but i told him that there was no way my son would do those test..I hope they wont want to do the allergy test on him, i think he will freak out because of test in the past resulted in a bad experience..
