My tri's were 590. Way too high! I go back to the doctor next week to find out what medication I will be on. My question is this- when do doctors suspect you have heart problems? Do you have to have symptoms related to heart attacks? At what point is bypass surgery or stents needed? I am probably jumping the gun, but I worry a lot. I am 36 and fat!

I definitely think these are questions U need to talk to your dr. about, as everyone is different. Some people have very lil signs of any heart disease. As far as your Trigs., U need to get on a diet low in carbs, definitely lose weight, stay away from refined sugar products, and get some exercise. Even if U go on a med. for the Trigs, U can't expect them to cure it, U have to make some lifestyle changes to help. Have a good talk with your dr. about your fears, at least he/she should beable to put your mind at rest if nothing serious is going on.
Good luck.....
