i wasnt sure where to post this, but anyway for a while now i have been ana,and was losing a lb a day,but then 2 weeks ago my family begged me to stop "dieting" so i upped my calorie intake by 200cals which put me up to 600cals a day,and for the past 2 weeks my weight has stayed the same even though i have still been working out for 2 hours a day and eating still hardly anything im still stuck at 126lbs like i have been for 2 weeks.is this because ive upped my calorie intake? or has my weight just stabilised now? my body is really fat and i really do need to lose weight and its really getting me down

Hun, please seek professional help immediatley. You cant live off of 600 calories per day. Your probably not losing because your body is starving so its holding on to every last calorie. You are doing so much damage to your body. also..theres an eating disorder recovery board on this site...take care..

You really do need to get professional help. PinstripedBabe is right - you are starving yourself and your body is holding on to all it can. This is not healthy for you and you are doing much more harm than good.

Eat! I recently read an article titled "Eat to loose", and the idea is solid- if you don't eat enough, your body goes into starvation mode, as the others have said, and you can damage your metabolism and your body. No diet should go under 1200 calories for women and still be considered healthy. If you have an eating disorder or if this is the start of one, please get help and treatment. I am recovering from anorexia, and I know the path is brutal and I urge you not to go there- save your body and your mind now! I wish you the best of luck!

Hey there ******* (sorry i couldn't bring myself to add your username :) ) I absolutely agree with the other girls. When your body goes into starvation mode it starts eating away at your muscle instead of your fat and holds onto every ounce of food you do put in your body. A year or 2 ago (when i was healthier) i use to work out about 3-4 hours/day while restricting as i do now and i lost weight at the same speed as now (not doing any exercise...or very very little) so it just proves that if your body is starving it doesn't matter how much exercise you do its still gonna fight it and try to hold on to everything and in the mean time kill your bones and muscles, not to mention all the other health issues that go along with anorexia. I would recommend seeing a dietitian or nutritionist, that's just my advice ;)
I hope you're able to overcome this. Take care
P.S Camille, yes eventually you do lose weight, i'm afraid to tell you this because i don't want you to go down this road of starving yourself but yes of course but usually not until you've done damage to your body and even if you only starved yourself say for a month (which would still be harmful) and then stop....the weight would come back so in order to keep it up you would have to keep restricting which BELIEVE ME causes many horrible scarey health problems and can even lead to death...i've been pretty close myself...so i would absolutely NOT recommend starving yourself. Healthy eating is the true key to successful long-term weight loss...i would recommend seeing a dietitian or nutritionist who can help you with that. I wish this was my only problem...cause it would be so much easier to recover but unfortunately eating disorders are so much more complicated than that....please don't lead yourself down that path. You deserve to be healthy.
;) Take care
