I'm a 15 year old male, who suffers from migranes about 2 times a month for about 4 years or so. Yesterday I was working on my computer and I felt this sharp pain at the top of my head for less than 2 seconds; it kinda felt like it went an inch into my skull. It wasn't extreme but enough to get concerned about, and had it lasted longer it would've been unbearable. This is the first such pain I ever got. Now since I also have these sort of hypohondric panic attacks, I got terribly concerned after it happened. I've looked this up and I think I might have what they call ice pick headaches. I'm not sure though. I didn't have a migrane that accompanied this pain, and my migranes normally affect my right eye. Is this normal. Should I see a doctor? Take medication? I do not take any medication, because my migranes aren't unbearable and never last longer than an hour.

If it happens again inform your parents and/or guardian.

i am having this too right now, its like a stabbing pain for 3 seconds than goes away. They were occurring about 20mins apart but at night get worse to about 5mins apart, sometimes even every minute for 10min.s or when I lay down i can feel the pressure on my back head hurt. Is this really a migrane? ive never had one before.

I took motrin and it seemed to lessen for ahwile, but would come back after couple hours, this has been going on for about 4 days now. Ill give it a couple more days than ill get a doctors opinion again.
