My 18 month old baby was just diagnosed with partial complex siezures. Yesterday she had a big siezure and was put on Tegretol by her Nuerologist. This is all new to me and I was wondering if anyone could give me information on this. /the siezures started so suddenly I am still having trouble understanding everything. One minute she was perfectly fine, the next she is diagnosed with siezures and epilepsy. Her EEG showed an eliptiform abnormality.

Welcome. So sorry your little one is going through this, as you are too. Check out some epilepsy sites to explain more about seizures. That might help you understand what's going on....

I know it can be scarry for you. I wish I could help you understand why but I have no idea. Maybe she will out grown them...we can only pray that.
