View Full Version : Do I have prickly heat?

I have an itchy/tingly rash of pinpoint-sized red dots on the top of my right foot (nowhere else, except for one or two dots on top of the other foot). The itching responds to hydrocortisone and/or Benadryl and is not severe in any case, but the red dots are still there. I guess it's because I have to wear shoes during the day like everyone else who works, and it's 100+ degrees here every day. The other thing might be that this foot had reconstructive surgery a couple years ago, and even though it works pretty well, the circulation isn't 100% so it does tend to swell up a little inside the shoe over the course of the day. That plus the sweating, friction against top of shoe, temperature...I can only guess that it might lead to prickly heat. What do you think?

I only hope it isn't something worse. I'm a hypochondriac so every little thing I come down with is invariably fatal. :D
