Hi everyone:wave:

I recently started taking Lycopodium Clavatum, a homeopathic medicine to reduce abdomenal bloating. Even though this is natural and homeopathic, i was wondering if there is ANY dangers to taking this on a daily basis. Thank you:D

hi! I can promise you without a shadow of a doubt that any homeopathic remedy will not harm you. If you want a longer explanation of exactly why - just ask. But the short answer is ths: if you choose the wrong remedy it will do absolutely no harm while not helping you!

A wonderful aspect of homeopathy is, you coose the remedy you need by matching symptoms - if you can match three symptoms or more - then you have a really good match and you only need time to let the remedy to work.

One idiosyncracy of homeopathy is that if you have a perfect remedy and begin to take it as described on the bottle or in the book (hopefully you have a good Homeopathy for Family or such book) sometimes it actually makes your symptoms worse! It creates a mini "healing crises." So you gas and bloating may get worse for a day or two and then will begin to ease.

I suffer from that a lot and LC is one of my best remedies. But may I suggest you also ask yourself what your triggers are that are causing it? One of mine is drinking beer. What a shame because I am Irish, love beer and my brother in law is a German master beermeister! Needless to say, I have LC in my drawer at all times ;) .

I hope this helps - if LC is not working for you - gas and bloating are painful and often embarassing. Try a really good Homeopathic book - there are so many now at health food stores. Look over the remedies for Gas and Bloating - a really good book may ask some weird-seeming questions like "more on the left or right side?" or "occurs between 4-8am" The better your match your symptoms the faster and better it works. It also teaches you to be very aware of your body's way of being.

Hope you try it - BTW no homeopatic remedies interferes with or causes adverse affects with any medicine - prescriptive or otherwise.

Best of luck for future health and happiness.
