I have been in auto body work for 40 years and my knuckles are enlarged and a bit swollen. They ache most of the time especially when it's cold.

Hi,
Run hot water over them. Also, you can make a rice sock or two. Get a tube sock and fill with 1 - 2 lb. rice (just the cheap kind) and tie the sock in a good tight knot!!! Heat in the micro wave to the temp that you can stand or that makes your knuckles feel the best. I do about 1 min. - 1 1/2 min.
It lasts for about 20 min. and then you have to do it again. I realize this is just for at home or when you are on a break. But, it is better than nothing.
Take care. I hope your knuckles feel better. If yours are like mine, the knuckles are smaller than the part in between them.

take 2 teaspoons honey with 1 teaspoon white vinegar 2 or 3x's daily. My grandpa used to soak white raisins in vodka and eat 10 every day it seemed to help him. It is same ratio raisins to vodka and keep in the fridge he swore by these old remedies. Good luck That is 10 raisins not ten jars of raisins and vodka i would feel no pain either.:dizzy:

Are you sure you are describing RA? It's very different from osteoarthritis.
