I have this irritable syndrome.
Every morning after I wake up, I will have this mild discomfort in my lower abdomen -- a feeling that is "gassy". I will often pass gas and motion in the morning and after that I will feel like normal. This syndrome will become worse if I had eaten fruits the night before.

I found this to be quite strange as this only occur in the morning after waking up. Is this IBS or lactose intolerance or bacteria overgrowth?

Pls help as I find this syndrome very irritating and affect my lifestyle very much. Thanks alot.

Hey I experience the same thing, except that instead of passing the gas alone, I need to empty my bowel to feel normal for the next 3 or 4 hours (or maybe longer, depends). Sometimes this means that I'll have to force a bowel movement with my hands by squeezing my lower abdomen from right to left, and then down to force the stool out - it gets pretty annoying sometimes and it might take up to an hour to make myself feel better.

Maybe it's just a psychological stress symptom but it is indeed annoying...
