I have lost my period for about 3 months now (I am not underweight please know) and I kno in order to go through recovery with a food obsession...it will take a while (especially for ME ) to stop this. If you lose your persiod can you get it back? Because I do have to think of my future and I know its because I exersise a lot and I'm under stress and I eat a very little...but is it possible to get it back because people will telling me no.

marcy- which site this is AWFULL who ever they are, they are not worth listening to, they obviously have so little respect for anyone how awfull you should recieve that.
do not ever give up on thoughts about children if one day it is what you want.
it may take a while for your periods to return but when eating regurly and healthly then they should return.
for now that concept is a huge no no for me
it is good you are thinking about this all
take care
keep posting

yes your period will come back. You don't need to be underweight to lose your period. It sometimes stops for a period of time due to stress, sudden weight loss or over exercising but it will definitely come back. If you go too long without one, you can risk becoming infertile but that would be after a long time of malnutrition. A few months- even a couple years won't affect your future.
