Hello im new to this forum.

I'm a 21 year old who has recently been diagnosed with I.B.S. Although i have known for a while that i have it.

I was given Fybogel Mebervine by the Doctor but i found when i took this it made my pains worse! So i went to the Pharmacy and bought some Buscopan tablets and they have been brilliant so far, the pains have decreased and i am pooing every day now.

I just wanted to know does anyone else take Fybogel and if so did they find it useful or did it worsen your symptoms? Because i have some family members going on at me saying i should be taking it as the Doctor gave it to me:confused: . Also a friend of a friend has I.B.S and she never took the Fybogel like she was meant to and now she has a colostomy bag and looks really ill.

Please let me know your views on this.

Thanks. Lizzi xx :)
