View Full Version : Pregnancy after Vasectomy

Ok, for all of you that recognize me, think good thoughts for me!

I'm 8 days late! I'm not ready to take a test. I can tell you the last 4 times I was late, it ended with a cute new baby 9 months later.

I have no symptoms but no sign of AF either. I'm regular with my cycles. No meds., no undue stress in my life.

My DH had his vasectomy a few days after I delivered baby #4 in March 2005. We did all the post-op tests, all were negative for the little swimmers. I have not had an indiscretion with another man. I can barely find time to have some fun with my hubby!

Has anyone been pregnant after their DH/partner had a vasectomy?

Seriously, if I am preggo again, I will have conceived while using a condom (the correct way), while on BCPs (with no misses) and now maybe after a vasectomy. What the heck?!

I have no answer on the vasectomy part but as to your "What the heck?!" question . . . I know someone who got pg 4x useing different methods of brith control - condom, pill, vasectomy, and geez, I can't think of the other thing, I want to call it and esophagus:rolleyes: what ever it is called. Anway I know for sure I got pg with my second using a condom the right way. After the first I told DH he couldn't get within 100 feet of me without a wrapper.

I will have good thoughts for you. Let us know either way. You can't leave us hangin' .Be brave take the test.
BTW I also know someone who got prego after husband vasectomy but they hadn't taken the tests for swimmers yet. When he did it was negative but maybe it was too early?
