It is supposed to be a mild anti-inflammatory, which I am not supposed to take, because of my stomach. I have been taking it for (2x day), along with other meds. for RA. It does help. I can tell when I forget, or when I had to stop for a few weeks because of an operation. It just makes your other meds work better and helps your swelling in your hands and knuckles and wrists. take care. Wannabe creinha 08-17-2006, 03:45 PM I use it. It's the generic version of Relafen. It is an anti-inflammatory and I find it works better than Ibuprofen or Celebrex. I take 1,000 mg once or twice daily depending on how I feel. I don't think its as hard on my stomach as the Ibuprofen. Does that help? Baybreeze 08-18-2006, 06:20 PM Hi, I've tried it, but it did nothing for me except I think I was allergic to it. A couple days after starting it, my eyelids and all around my eyes swelled up pretty badly. I took it for about 8 or 9 days, then stopped due to the eye swelling. And in those 8 or 9 days my flare actually got worse. |
