hi there

could someone please tell me whether it is okay to swim in a chorinated swimming pool if you have eczema on your neck and sholder blades?

Surely the chlorine will aggravate the situation?
Would a doctor actually give me a medical certificate to allow me to stay away from swimming ( i have swimming as a sport, but i do not want to aggravate my eczema).

Most people with eczema can go swimming. However, some people who have severe eczema find that the chemicals used in swimming pools or sea water makes their eczema worse, so they choose not to go in. I would ask your doctor and if he or she says you cant swim, then ask for a note.

This depends on the severity of eczema and the kind of eczema it is.
Chlorine can cause irritation, but can not cause any eczema or worsen it except causing iiritant contact dermatitis.
Please speak to your doctor.
