Hello everyone, I'm new to this board and I have questions for you. My daughter started having partial seizures at 4 months, at the time she was having almost 10 per day. She is on 3 meds now and I'm concerned that it's too much. She's 15 months now and is still having seizures. They last about 45 seconds and there is never any warning as to when they will happen. I would just like to know if there is anyone out there who is going through the same thing. I find all the information on this board very helpful and comforting knowing that we are not alone. I haven't seen any delays in her learning skills but it might be too soon to tell. If anyone has gone through the same medication routine, could you let me know?
thanks, M.

Hi
Sorry to hear your daughter is having seizures. My son (1 year old last week) has been having seizures since 13 days old. He has been diagnosed with Migrating Partial Epilepsy in Infancy. He has been on nearly every drug going to no real effect. Clobazam produced too much excretions, phenobarb tried twice - really zonked him on hi IV dose. I hope you have more success than we have had.
Good luck & prayers for your daughter.

Thanks for the reply, What is your son taking now? Do the doc's say that he will eventually grow out of it? I send you and your family my best wishes for your son as well. Thank you for your support.

Thank you for your thoughts.
He is on Phenytoin & Stirepentol. His seizures are uncontrollable, he has severe developmental arrest (Remains a 2-3 week old) His condition is very rare with no hope of a cure. I hope & pray that your daughter reacts favourably to a medication, & can live a normal life. Have a look at [removed] for stories of children with epilepsy & their treatments. Our son Oskar has his story on there.
Best wishes
Heath
