Hi, i posted about my problem a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I had another dizzy spell today, my left ear hurts and anxiety to the max.
For the passt week or so everything been really dreamy, like nothing really seems real.
Can this be caused by an inner ear problem or from something else?

Yup it's called brain fog among other things. I had it really bad...couldn't focus. Language was especially a problem. Also experienced derealization...like you feel "outside yourself" and that is a very frightening feeling. For some reason inner ear stuff is very connected to anxiety and this kind of thing.
Just knowing I wasn't the only one to feel this way helped me immensely. I am pretty well recovered (by that I mean I pretty much function normally) but my ear will never be the same. I still feel swimmy at times and low level anxiety when I drive but it doesn't keep me from living. So the beast can be defeated...:p

No, you are not alone. I feel that way all the time too. In the beginning of this, I was afraid to do anything, but now I am trying to drive more,(still get anxious though, when I have to drive) I have been working and am trying to walk more again, and ride my bike some. From what I have been reading, keeping active seems to help, but its hard when you feel this way! I just started VRT, and the therapist told me that its your eyes trying to keep up with your balance and ears.

It is probably the worst feeling I have ever had - give me pain any day of the week over this.
Does anyone start questioning their mind ie that's a tree, oh yeah that's a tree. I do it alot and have a chuckle when doing it, but it really feels like Im losing my mind! Sometimes if I have sunglasses on I can get on with it!
Is there anything you can do to get rid of this feeling or is it just a case of wait and see what happens and live with it?
I dont think I can live like this for ever. Everything just seems so false and the world seems so big!

The person that is showing me my therapy is a vr therapist at one of the hospital rehabilitation centers here in town. The ENT sent me to them.( My ENT doesn't understand my explanation of brain fog either!)
Know what you mean about taking pain over the brain fog feeling!

Hi again:
Wait and see is what I chose to do...staying as active as you can and all the while doing a lot of praying and deep breathing and telling myself that it's just anxiety and it will pass.
Some people are helped by anxiety meds which can also help alleviate the dizziness but I chose not to go this route because some folks have a hard time getting off them once they start.
I had pretty bad anxiety while I was in in the throes of this illness and if you are prone to it anyway it def. gets worse with inner ears messed up but the choice is yours re: meds. Hang in there ok?
