I recently started acupressure, a traditional Chinese healing method.
Applying pressure on specific points of the body, such as the wrist, the arm or the bottom of the foot, helps reduce asthma symptoms and improve general health.

My asthma is basically well controlled. My peak flow has been in the green zone, but I have been suffering from anxiety, irritablity and sleep problems, particularly when the weather is getting worse.

My doctor says my lung function is very well and there is nothing she can do for me. I don't like sleeping pills which I suspect are addictive.
Then I just tried acupressure; pressing my thumbs or other fingers over my wrists, the bottom my foot and chest.
It worked well for me.
I recommend this holistic approach for those whose asthma is relatively well managed but who are suffering from the above mentioned symptoms, because it is cheaper and safer than any Western medicine drugs. :-)
