View Full Version : Alternative to PPI's for reflux

I've recently been diagnosed with Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR). The doc gave me Nexium, which I've been taking for a week, and my symptoms are worse. I called the doc and they say give it some time to work. I don't like that advice. I was reading a post by wackytoposthere and it sounded very interesting. I would like to know if anyone has discovered an alternative therapy that successfuly treats LPR. The symptoms are becoming unbearable. I also was told by an alternative therapist that I have leaky gut syndrome. Can these two disorders be related? I can't afford to go to the doctor anymore and the alternative therapist is even more expensive. Can someone help me educate myself about this problem? Maybe there's abook that someone knows about that can help???
