I just don't know anymore.. I'm always depressed and stuff.. so I decided to look up some information on it..

+Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" mood
+Feelings of hopelessness, pessimism
+Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness
+Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed, including sex
+Decreased energy, fatigue, being "slowed down"
+Difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions
+Insomnia, early-morning awakening, or oversleeping
Appetite and/or weight loss or overeating and weight gain
+Thoughts of death or suicide; suicide attempts
+Restlessness, irritability
Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain

The ones with '+' in front are the ones I know I have.. but.. I need help.. and.. I don't know who to turn to.. it's getting real annoying when my boyfriend asks me something, and I tell him I forgot too.. he thinks I'm lying though.. I.. dunno anymore.. who should I turn to..? Please help.. thanks..

Edit: I dunno if this has anything to do with it, but I have ADD as well..

Hi welcome to the boards. What you need to do is go see a doctor to get a proper diagnoises and a treatment plan can be created. A big thing with the depressions symptoms is not wether or not you have them but how long you have had them and how much it impacts your daily life.

good luck

from what i've read if you have those symptoms for over 2 weeks then you have depression. how sevier only a doctor can tell you. mine stems from losses in my life, both human and petlosses, and now i feel abandoned. i first asked for help with counseling...something i really hated to do. i'm not one to ask for help. then that didn't seem to be enough anymore and i went to a psychiatrist doctor.

so you really need to go to a doctor and find out for sure. i have all those symptons you listed. everyone. i'm on medication now and seem to be a little calmer. please help yourself by asking for help. i'm not saying its going to be easy. cause it isnt'. its rough, tough and depression kicks butt but it is treatable.

i also have a very hard time with remembering. i have to write things down now.

I think you know these are classic symptoms of depression. Now, you need to take the next step and talk to a family MD or counselor. SOMEONE>>>who can give you an acurate diagnosis. As much as we would like to help you, we aren't the professionals...well at least I am not. There might be some out there. I can think of one that I might be. But do get a professional opinion.
good luck and keep us posted:angel:
