does effexor give you energy? and does cause weight gain?

I lost 6 pounds in a week when I was on it. I had energy, too.

maybe energy becuse you're not as depressed ,but weight gain...definately.
20lbs!! But i'm off it now and trying to lose it.

More energy, no weight gain. We're all so different!

I would never take effexor ever again. I know things effect people differently but effexor made me 10x worse. I was dizzy, naseous, and so much more anxious.

So was I, but it passed in time.

a taper period that could last one year or more!!

lost 5 lbs in first two weeks.........i have alot more energy. I am on 37.5 for dosage and feel good on that so I am not going to increase it.
