I've been experiencing some wierd sensations in the side of my head. It feels as though "something" is moving around inside. The feeling comes and goes and doesn't cause any pain. My GP told me it could be the muscles in my head, but it all doesn't make any sense to me. My neck muscles on the same side (right) feel very tight, but this could be my osteoarthritis "acting" up. Thanks for any input.

Arlmon18, I get these feelings in my head also, it kinda feels like they are tightening, or sometimes it feels like chills, just in your head. I don't know your age, but I know mine are aggravated by hormones, same with my migraines. One day I was at the store and it felt like something crawling on my scalp, it wasn't 30 minutes later, the migraine came. Do you ever have weird crawling sensations on your face? I do, they suck terribly!!!!

Hi Jenny - Luckily for me, I don't get migraines. I'm 58, so I think I'm kind of past the hormonal stage. My friend works for 2 GPs and asked one of them what the "crawly" sensation is - he said he was muscles twitching - feeling like worms are in there. I don't have it in my face, only on the right side of my head, towards the back. The doctor said it would go away, the same way it came. Hope he's right.

I suffered my FIRST hormonal migraine at the age of 50. I am currently 56 years young.:D
My gynogologist told me that I can suffer from these peri-menopause migraines for the next 15 years which my *female* Neurologist confirmed. *swooning* *grabbing smelling salts* *fainting*
