Well, I'm 16 years old, and I started smoking cigarettes in late 2005. So I've only been smoking a short while and an average of 5 smokes a day I would say. But today as i watched the smoke swirl off the end of my smoke I asked myself "why?". I've decided that I'm going to stop smoking cigarettes before I seriously damage my health. I think I've quit early enough to say I'm safe, but is there still a chance my health is at risk? What do you guys think?

i think you are smart. give it up now. easier said than done. do your best to give it up now or you will find yourself in 40 years back on these boards having 100 x's harder time quitting. my only regret in life is picking up the first one. Best of luck.:)

MackAttack...

I ditto what ICC had to say. You are very smart to do it now, instaed of 20 years from now, when you'd probably progress up to at least a pack a day..aming it tons harder to quit.

I don't think you've smoked too long or too much to do any serious damage, and I would bet your health is still really good. Just follow through and quit now...

Best of luck...
