MOMOFBOYZ

Hi all! I am 40 yrs old. Stay at home mom. Used to be so healthy. Started with severe back probs last August. Then swollen lymph node, night sweats, low grade fevers. Had biopsy and the ekg before surgery was abnormal. The doc wrote ok to operate and told me the office machine was at fault. Biopsy normal. Immediatley following surgery started with all over pain. Dx w/fibromyalgia and thyroid. Still very sick five months later. Can hardly walk feel like legs are in cement blocks, tingly hands and feet, fingers, muscles twitching, back pain, muscle pain, heart palps and heavy chest feeling, no sleep.
Went to eno today who did another ekg. This was also abnormal and he referred me to a cardiologist. But I can't get in until Agu 17th! I am so scared. I have a 4 and 6 yr old. What if I have a heart attack?
I know it's paranoid but I don't know to think.
I forgot to get copy of the ekg today. But pulled out theFeb. one. It says possible old anterior infarction! Is that a friggin' heart attack?
What is going to happen?
Pls help me
Deena

Here's the thing......working in EMS, I can tell you that 99% of the time, when we print a 12 lead, we just rip off the computer's diagnosis and read it ourselves. doctors do it also. I would not get overly concerned about what the computer printout said, but rather listen to what the doc has to say. And yes, an "old anterior infarction" translates to a previous heart attack in the front wall of the heart...you think you have problems? read my post a few links up.

Just throwing this out there.....are you sure you are not starting menopause? Some of your symptoms are classic for menopause....chest pains, night sweats, low grade fever, heart palps, tingly feeling Check out the menopause board, you'll be surprised. And don't let a dr. tell you that you are too young for menopause....I started at age 38, I'm 48 now and almost done. THe chest pains are the worst. I had every heart workup known to man because my chest pains were so bad, and they all came back normal. Found out I was hypothyroid and halfway through menopause. Good luck.
