Hi there. I was checking to see how you are doing? We are starting to adjust to my daughter's new diet. I won't say it is easy becasue it definetely is not. But hopefully we will be pro's soon. I also wanted to say that she still keeps getting that redness on her cheeks and across her nose. The Early Intervention nurse she sees saw it lightly yesterday,But didn't have anything to say for it. But I do notice that she still has it even if she is inside. It gets darker when she is outside for about 5 minutes. Then gets much darker looks like a sunburn. If she it out any longer than the 5 min. But when she comes back in it goes light again. This all started about a few weeks ago and it never completelt goes away just gets lighter.
What do you think? She goes in to see her GI doctor aug 3rd. I will ask him then.
Thanks
Hi, Claflamme. I honestly don't know about the rash. The fair-haired & light-eyed people in my family turn red with only a little sun exposure---my sister (blonde) does, and so does a red-haired cousin. That said, with her Celiac Dx, I imagine you'll be taking your daughter in for very regular check-ups. I'm curious what HER dr. says, now that he knows what he knows.
I wonder if she needs sunblock? And I wonder if she'd still get that redness if she uses sunblock? Maybe dr. can suggest some things to try that might provide some further input for him to think on it more.
Did you get copies of all her bloodwork, to keep in your personal files? That can't hurt, either. Bye for now & best wishes, Vee

When we see the Gi dr on aug 3rd I will get copies. And as for the sunblock I use the 50 and put it on her at least 2-3 times while she wears a hat with a visor.
Thanks

She has her follow up with the GI dr tomorrow afternoon. She still has the rash. It is just like they described. She never really let's me look at her face. But I really did this am and noticed that it is on her cheeks but not all the way down them and still across the bridge of the nose and not near the creases of her nose. That was tough to describe. I will ask the dr tomorrow.
Wish us luck,I will keep you posted.
Thanks
