View Full Version : Anyone use the Podee OR Pacifeeder??

I started off using Avent and quickly found that my DS (now a month old) was getting fussy, colicky and gassy with these bottles. Then I took the advice of a friend and my pediatrician to use Dr. Brown's---Ahhhhhhhhhhh relief at last! :)) He still gets gas, but not as much as he use to---he'll burp a couple of good ones he's off to sleep! No fuss or pain! :)

I haven't taken my DS out yet---except to his doctors appoinment at 2 weeks. I REALLY want to get out and take a stroll somewhere---park or mall---SOMEWHERE!! :) But I'm afraid that the minute I get out---he'll start whaling with hunger!

So, instead of having to stop where I am when I'm out and feed----I'm considering using the Podee or Pacifeeder---but ONLY for when I'm out and about as he's in his stroller.

Any thoughts on using this?? Like I said, I will use it only when I'm out and don't have all free hands and such. :)

They have these all over ebay and before I buy, I'd like to have other users opinions and feedback. :)

Hi,

I did not use a Podee as I have never heard of it. I was scared to take my guy out in the beginning for all of the reasons that you are afraid. After sitting at home for a while, I went crazy and decided it was time (10 days or so). Guess what, it went fine. People were more than willing to put up with his fussiness. Also, with the appropriate placement of a receiving blanket, you can indeed nurse about anywhere. If you are bottle feeding, they will be able to eat wherever you want. You may also find that being out in and of itself can cure fussiness. I used to take Liam out to the park or even in the back yard during the witching hours (4-7 pm). It really worked. When I first went to town, I had my husband come with me but not do anything, just so I would know I could do it myself.

Good luck. Get out and breathe.

Juniorsmommy--

Thanks for your input!! I had my suspicions.... It just sounded too good to be true! :)

Thanks again! :)

Jen--

Thanks for your encouragement and advice! I've been at home for one month now and DYING!! :) I have been out once but that was to drop my parents off at the airport after they came to visit DS.

I'm thinking of attempting to go out tomorrow to the mall to window shop and walk around----and I'll take my DH with me--just incase I need another helping set of hands---he hates the mall though. hehe :) The weather is just awful here to take him to the park during the day, but as the sun starts to go down it's just fine. :) Whew! :)

He really is a good baby---he only cries when's he's hungry---the rest of the time he sleeps really well. :)

Ok, now time to plan for the outing---pack baby bag and such. :)

Thanks again!
