I have had an ongoing stomach ache now for about a month. My doctor thinks that I may have an ulcer. I just started prevacid 30mg a week ago. So far, I have not noticed myself feeling any better. For people on prevacid or something like it with gastritis or ulcer how long did it take for you to feel some relief. I heard it can take up to a couple of weeks. Does that sound right to you?

Everyone is so different but 2 weeks to a month --- you should have some relief.

Took about a month before I honestly felt my gastritis was getting better...was a long month !

Thank you guys! it's nice to hear others say that it took them awhile too! I have only been on it for about a week now. After being on it a week I got the stomach flu, and that was two days ago, so I stopped taking it for two days. Now I'm back on the prevacid. I sure hope I start feeling better within a couple more weeks. Thanks for the encouragement. It sure is hard living with an awful feeling in my stomach constantly. :dizzy:
