Does anyone have a metal like taste in their mouth? Every once in a while I get this taste and then it goes away. I think this comes when I have to clear my throat alot. I was just wondering if anyone else has this.

Ahhh, the all too familiar metal taste. I hate that taste so much. That's the acid coming up from your stomach and it's so gross. If you hopefully find a medication that works for you, that taste will dissolve.

I also have the metal taste when my reflux is bad (which is right now!) I hate it and can find nothing to make it go away.

Yep, the flavor of acid, wonderful stuff! I hate it to and even have it while taking my meds which don't seem to help as much as I would like.

A few years ago I was taking a prescription drug medication which left that "metal" taste in my mouth the whole time I was on it. I cannot remember the name of the drug. If you are on any prescibed drugs, you might want to call your pharmacist and ask if this taste could be a possible side effect.

I have it too. Does this ever go away with the LPR or am I stuck with this forever?

I do not know but it comes and goes with me.

xanax will give you a metal taste so yes there are drugs out there that give you that taste

Does Nexium cause this?

everyone is different i took naxium it gave me a hard time to breath but not the metal taste
