My chiropractor has offered some research to me on MCHC.
Does anyone here take this supplement? Also, does anyone here take Evista? I am interested in knowing your progress with either of these. I keep reading that Evista is becoming the drug of choice for postmenopausal women with osteopenia or osteoporosis. Any information would be helpful. Thanks....

What is the full name of the supplement. Have you tried it yet? How bad is your osteoporosis?

The supplement contains microcrystalline hydroxyapatite concentrate (MCHC). I have read a lot about this, and there are a number of products availalbe. My chiropractor recommended that I read about this first and try exercise, vitamins, etc. before taking a synthetic drug. I felt this way before he said it. It was gyn. that said I should take fosamax.
There is a complex that uses range-free livestock and the one my chiropractor gave me is from Metagenics, and it is called Cal-Matrix. I cannot tell if it is the pure MCHC from the label. I have also read that vitamin K2 should be added. If you have any knowledge of this I would be greatful. My bone density was -2.7. I hope to raise it with proper exercise, diet and supplements before I decide I have to take a medication.
Thank you!

 Hi,I have been taking Evista since last November. I have not had a new DEXA so I have no idea if it is helping. I have leg cramps and hot flashes, and somtimes gastric upsets. When I go off the Evista for long car or air trips I do feel much better without it,but will hang in there until I am tested. I have very severe osteoporosis and would like to improve. I refuse to take actonel etc.
I have been taking E-Zorb since April and feel better and my bad knee feels better. I have a lot of faith in E-Zorb. Mama Carlota

Thank you. I appreciate your information. I have been reading a lot about E-Zorb. Do you take other supplements with it?
I hope I am posting in these threads correctly. I am not sure if I am....

Dear carmengh, looks likes you are posting just fine. I also take a multi-vitamin and vitamin D. Right now I am off the Evista because I fell and have a hairline fracture in my knee. The Dr. put a brace on my leg to keep the knee staight and I cannot bend it,so as I have the brace on and can effect the circulation I am off Evista for about 2 weeks. Mama Carlota
