hey

i hear people talk about cardio but i dont exactly know what it is

i do a fitness dvd called Pump It Up Everyday..it has 3 sections...warm up(stretches),pump it up(very hard fast aerobic kinda movements working all of your body) and get buff(bums tums and thighs) does this class as cardio?

The aerobics part is cardio. It's called "cardio" because it works your cardiovascular system - heart and lungs (well, lungs is respiratory, but it's certainly included in "cardio"). So any type of exercise where your heart and breathing rate is increased is cardio.

Does that make sense? :confused:
