How do I find names of good pain management doctors in New Mexico or southern Colorado? I have done everything the pharmaceutical company has told me to do, everything Medicare Part D has told me to do and my current DR. also. But, I still can't get it right. I used to manage millions of dollars of civil construction - I don't think it is me. The insurance problems are driving everyone nuts. Seems like the patient's needs are way down on the priority list. My present doctor is really taking care of me very well. However, last time I was in her office, she was very angry and told me that she is now in the position of paying for my health care and she won't do it. By that she means that because her staff sent incomplete paper work to the company, instead of back to me, it has taken many hours to sort out the mess.
If I could do this sort of endless, complicated thing I would be back out building a highway somewhere. I am in a remote area. No one has heard of Kadian up here. The pharmacies entire order was held up for my order apparently. Now, only part of my order is being shipped because the pharmacy could not order the exact number in the script.
Alpharma is not re-certifying anyone with Medicare Part D. It does not matter to them if the insurance company covers it or not. But every operator there has a different story. Who can figure out how to change to a different company? Also my Rx costs $1,400.00 per month! I did not know that. Now all the insurance remaining will be used up.
I need to find a doctor who cares about this happening to her patients. Quality of care is irrelevant if the Rx can't be filled.
Any suggestions? I know I am not the only one going through this - and more I can't even sort out enough to mention. The people who help me are getting tired of this.
