Sponsor debating 07-30-2006, 06:34 PM Like how people have one foot biger then the other, it's common to have an over producer. My right one is the over producer. I would nurse more on the other to stimulate production and even things out. j baby 07-30-2006, 07:49 PM my left one produces more. i have finally overcome the problem though... i just ALWAYS put ds on that side first. now he only nurses on one at a time though, but whenever i notice lefty getting the slightest bit bigger, i make sure to put him on righty alot more and it will even back out after a day or two. LadyLaine2 07-30-2006, 09:46 PM Unfortunately most babies play favorites, Gabe liked the left a lot more, so of course it produced more and I had to work for weeks to try and get them evened out. Now he doesn't care as much, but will still perfer the left and sometimes cry and refuse the right. It's weird, I wonder what they think is the big difference. Lainie laurabelle1317 07-31-2006, 09:25 PM My DS (4mos) prefers one side over the other...sometimes...but the side he prefers changes. Its weird. He will start to nurse and cry and then I switch him to other side and he is fine. Once he is done onthat side then he will nurse on the side that he originally didn't want to nurse on. Its strange. And very strange that he switches which side he won't want to nurse on first. This has been going on for a month. Quite odd. North - I am glad you are still around. I look forward to reading your posts and I know there are others that do too. BTW, I know you have mentioned you are in FL, where in FL? debating 07-31-2006, 10:00 PM North - I am glad you are still around. We're in Northern Palm Beach County. shelliam 07-31-2006, 10:48 PM Just as another PP said babies do play favorites. One like my right and one liked the left. My right has a faster flow and my left due to a bit of scar tissue has a much slower flow. I even noticed this while pumping. I would try to nurse my 1st child on my left breast first (he was my righty) and he would sometimes refuse it and on the spin My 2nd (lefty)would sometimes choke then refuse my right.:dizzy: Do the best you can for now I noticed the favoritism kind of went away as they got older. |
