I've had really sharp, terrible pains in my chest since I woke up yesterday, and it hasn't stopped for 16 hours. I've tried eating and taking calcium to try to neutralize the acid, but then I thought that maybe it wasn't heartburn? Has anyone else had heartburn for this long? What do you guys think is going on?

i have a heartburn-like feeling all day every day just about. it feels kinda like a mix of heartburn and muscle pain, so i dunno. maybe it's damage to my esophagus.

Sharp pains I don't know about, I suggest calling a doc.

I too have reflux 24/7 it never goes away, it gets a little better sometimes but never away.

I've had the sharp pains --once lasting for 3 days. Usually they are on one side either under the breast (1st rib) or sometimes above the breast under the collarbone. Very sharp pains. does this sound like what you have?
They eventually went away but I thought I'd die first, couldn't sleep 2 nights.
sorry you are going through it..
