Have any of you found that losing weight helps with the heartburn/GERD? I am overweight and have GERD and I am working on losing the weight every day by eating better, walking, doing weight training. I have a hiatal hernia and I do hear that the way to cure this is to lose the weight, but didn't know what other's here think about that? Any success by losing weight?

Hello, I lost 80 pounds last year and it did help. It is hard to say if it is because of the weight loss or because of eating healthy but it did help it.

i don't think it can hurt to be at a healthy weight; it could be the answer even.
although a lot of people with reflux are at unhealthy low weights and still suffering.
