i dont know all you answers but my understanding is that if you apply and are turned down and you appeal or reapply once approved they go back up tp 3 years from when you first applied and you get it all from that original applied date..............good luck

I almost hate to tell you this but my son was sent to a SS Dr who put disabled cannot hold a job, I thought that was good, well SS got it back & turned him down again! I couldn't believe they could do that! After 27 months we finally go to a hearing this week & I'm nervous for him since the lawyer turned out to be not so good. All of a sudden at the end now we find out they couldn't read his dr's notes & he sends her a form
to fill out at the last minute which we probably won't get in time! I just don't understand if one of THEIR dr's put that how they can ignore it!

auntiem,

It probably doesn't necessarily mean that you will be approved for benefits, but it will be good supportive evidence when you get to your hearing. Have you gotten another attorney? If your first one 'let' you miss your hearing you should get a different attorney for this go round. I'm not sure if you will have to go through the whole process again or if they will 'fast forward' you to another hearing.

The whole SSD ordeal can be very long and drawn out and stressful and DEPRESSING. Having a good attorney who is encouraging and supportive is important.

love and prayers,

aj in Oregon
