I have been on disability for three years. I was just approved for three more years. However, I feel like things are changing medically for me and that I would like to try to return back to work. Does anyone have any experience returning back to work while on disability? Do you still receive ssdi payments while you work for awhile or do they cut you off right away as soon as you start working? I am afraid once I start working that it might not work out and then I will have lost my disability and have to reaply.

Karla~

First, log on to www.ssa.gov (http://www.ssa.gov) and request their booklet explaining benefits while working.

There is a limit to how much you can earn per month without losing some or all of your benefits. This limit changes each year. When I was working, the limit was $700, if I remember right. Anything over the limit will reduce your benefits.

I hope I've been of some help. Good Luck to You!
