I just need to vent and get some support. I spoke with my Doctor's office today and they want me to come in for another Coloposcopy after my 3'rd ASCUS result in 7 months. Dysplasia is so frustrating.
Since my first abnormal pap in July 2004 I've had countless paps, 2 colposcopys and 2 leeps. I feel like I should work at the office, I know everyone who works those so well.
Does anyone know why my body can't kick the adnormal cells when my last two paps have not registered the HPV virus at all? I've been taking a multi-vitamin, lystine, & B12, which I was told will help. I'm going to reread some past posts, but does anyone have vitamin regimins that may help. Thanks!

I've added folic acid to my vitamin regimin because I read that birth control pills can take it out of your body. Any new suggestions from anyone? Help in kicking this is always appericated!

Folic Acid is probably the most helpful vitamin you can take when you have dysplasia... even if you're not on the pill. So, good job, and keep it up.

Please see my post Using Vitamins and minerals to cure cervical dysplasia. I'm not saying this is any kind of definite cure but my doc has had several cases of excellent results with it (even one patient who went from severe dysplasia to normal and has continued with normal paps). I'm in the midst and just had my second normal after two rounds of this protocol. It's purpose is simply to boost your own immune system. Best of luck and lots of hugs! I'll continue posting about my own journey. Next pap is next January!

I posted a week of so back...thread is titled Finally.
I went through so many abnormal paps, HPV, coplo's, leep, margins not clear, to ASCUS and abnormal. This also all started in 2004 for me.
My last pap in 04/2006 was normal however, still HPV Positive. First normal pap since 03/2004. In 07/2006, got another follow up pap and FINALLY...... normal pap and the HPV Gone. My immune system got rid of it.
Honestly, this is what I did. I kicked it into gear. I am a pretty healthy person but I just decided I was going to make a life change. I started eating very healthy and went to the gym. I dropped 10 lbs by doing all this. I am sure my immune system is at its best. Just take care of your body. I am so motivated now that I lost 10 lbs that this has become a life change for me.
I did not take any vitamins or minerals to do any of this. I just ate a lot of fruit, veggies and protein.

tpagm,
Thanks for your advice. I'm working on eating healthier and starting an exercise regimine. The vitamins are in case I lack somthing in a given day.
This all started in July 2004 for me. It's been an on again off again nightmare since then. My body seems to have kicked the HPV, the last two paps showed negative, but they keep coming up ASCUS. Both leeps had clear margins too. I'm just trying to understand why it's still lingering if the virus is gone. I go to the Doctors next week, but I'm really against another leep, at this point I'd rather wait and see.
