well it's a little painful, depending on how sensitive your skin is, and where they do it. The cheek area wouldn't be as bad as the upper lip as far as pain. Take a couple ibuprofin before you go, and ask the electrologist if they can use a numbing creme on your skin. It's not pleasurable like getting a massage, but it's not too bad.....you can tolerate it.
Besides it's worth it! You'll feel great when the hair is gone!

well I'm 46 and I've been doing it since I was 13
the hair does go away, but not all at once, and new hair continues to grow....
it's an ongoing process. It's a lot better than it used to be

My sister had electrolysis, she went weekly for about 2 years for chin and upper lip, the stronger hairs needed a few treatments before they stopped growing, she has not had any regrowth and it has been 20 years.
I would imagine it would be different from person to person.

it depends on the person. I can't take the current real high because i have sensitive skin, but my mom can take a high current. She's had electrolysis and it didn't grow back, except for a hair every once in a while. So, the higher current you can take, the longer it will stay away.

You are born with about 1000 hair follicles per square inch of skin. Only a small % of those follicles are growing hair. As you age, as you have hormone changes, as you take new medications, etc., new hairs grows. Electrolysis will get rid of the hair you currently have, but it can not prevent inactive follicles from becoming active and growing new hair.

OK so I have little dark hairs on my cheecks and right below my eyes it kinda connects to my eyebrow and i do see girls with that but i have darker and im in highschool getting ready to be a sophmore and I also have a bf and its kinda embarrassing but since i bleach it looks weird and since i shaved its got long so i have at least 1/3 of an inch long hairs on my face now and its noticable and so do you guys think that i should electrolysis done? And I was wondering how many treatments it takes and If I should get it or not if Im too young ....but the truth is I jus want to get rid of it at a young age so that i wont have to deal with it later on .

I would definately look into it if I were you. It's something that will make you feel better about yourself. You may want to look into laser hair removal also.
